A Little About Me
Ron Lewis, Independent Insurance Agent
Hi, I'm Ron Lewis! I'm originally from Seattle, WA, but I've been living in the San Diego area since 2000. I graduated from Western Washington University (WWU) in Bellingham, WA in 1987 where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
Subsequent to that, I worked as a software and hardware technical writer for 10 years. During that time, I worked for several technology industry giants including Cisco Systems, Qualcomm, and Motorola.
I've been working in the insurance business for approximately 14 years. Because I really enjoy helping people and working with the "senior" market, I decided to specialize in the area of Medicare Supplement (Medigap) insurance plans. That is my primary focus.
I live in Carlsbad California, which is in North San Diego, not too far from Legoland and the beautiful La Costa Resort. I have two kids, a son and a daughter, who are 15 and 16 years old. My son is passionate about football, and my daughter loves theater, singing, dancing, music and the arts. They keep me busy, and they are unquestionably the best thing that ever happened to me!
I believe in building trust and relationships with my clients. Unlike many agents, I won't disappear after you receive your new policy! I stay in touch with my clients, and I contact them every year during the month before their birthday to evaluate their current coverage and to see if I can take advantage of the California Birthday Rule and save them money on their premiums. Another way that I stay in touch with my clients is by periodically writing an insurance blog and making YouTube insurance videos.
